Great product, as it saves plenty of time! Usage is very easy and intuitive.
Biofermentation processes
This device is very easy to use. I like that it generates reports and provides with the pictures used for the counting. I think it saves plenty of time and provides accurate results. I am using this device to count cell viability and it was never easier to do that!

It is a useful and accurate tool but could be a little more user and time friendly!
Analyze microbial fermentation
Quantom Cell Counter product is useful but not a fast way to count cells. A sample takes 30min minimum to get a reading and sample prep has to be done properly. Loading of the slides is not straightforward. It is a useful and accurate tool but could be a little more user friendly!

Overall a good product
cell counts
We got some that were delivered broken and the company was able to fix that and send us replacements quickly. Worked well overall, would definitely use again.

A great instrument to use in the lab on a frequent basis!!
Counting cells
I use this product very frequently in the lab. It has become part of our routine testing, I can't imagine how we could operate our normal workflow without it. Sample prep is easy and straightforward. The results given by the instrument are easy to understand and very repeatable. The display on the instrument is also nice for helping to visualize what is going on at a microscopic level. The size distribution histogram is also nice for visualizing the size of the cells imaged. I really enjoy the fact that the instrument outputs a value, but gives you the opportunity to dig deeper into the data. Really a nice instrument for people who enjoy all levels of science!

Great results, slides could be more consistent
Counting microbial cell counting
The Quantom cell counting slides can be a little tricky to use and specific directions would be useful, but the overall quality of results and replicability is incredible.

The QUANTOM Tx™ Microbial Cell Counter is an image-based, automated cell counter that can identify and count individual bacterial cells in mere minutes.
The sophisticated QUANTOM™ cell counting algorithm is the first of its kind, capable of detecting individual bacterial cells regardless of their diverse morphologies and arrangements. Multiple images of fluorescence-stained cells are captured and analyzed automatically for rapid and accurate bacterial cell counts.
Key Features:
Rapid
- Minutes to results
- No culturing required
Accurate
- Objective and no user-to-user variability
- No estimating based on colony forming units or turbidty
Single bacterium detection
- Regardless of cell shape, size, or arrangement
- Sophisticated bacterial cell counting software

Accelerating bacterial quantification: Exploring rapid and accurate automated cell counting with the QUANTOM Tx
April 9, 2025 - 15:00 BST / 16:00 CEST / 10:00 EDT / 07:00 PDT
Counting bacterial cell samples using classical methods can be time-consuming, labor-intensive, and may require specialized equipment and expertise. The process can be long and complex, with limitations in terms of sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy, ultimately impacting the reliability of results.
Bacteria are an incredibly diverse group of organisms that come in multiple shapes, sizes, and arrangements making colony counting a difficult process. However, the QUANTOM Tx™ Microbial Cell Counter offers solutions to these challenges by providing rapid and accurate bacterial quantification.
Join us for this exclusive webinar to explore how the QUANTOM Tx™ Microbial Cell Counter is transforming bacterial quantification. Learn how its advanced bacteria-cell detection software enables rapid and precise counting—in minutes, not days—without the need for culturing.
The novel bacteria-cell detection software is able to detect individual cells despite genome size, morphology, cell size, or motility, and even in the tightest of clusters. Time-saving solutions with reliable and accurate counts make the QUANTOM Tx™ Microbial Cell Counter a valid option for bacteria research.
Key learning objectives
- Learn a direct method for rapid and accurate counting of bacteria with no culturing needed
- Understand how the QUANTOM Tx™ provides quantitative results in minutes for total cells and viable cells
- Learn how common, but difficult, samples can be easily and accurately counted using the novel bacteria-counting software of the QUANTOM Tx™.
- See how using the QUANTOM Tx™ streamlines lab productivity
