Great companion for our cell culture facility!
Application Area: Cell culture
"A local sales rep dropped by to give us an on-site demo trial with our samples. Pretty accurate when compared to manual counting, with better robustness."

Lasted 13 months before it died - conveniently just out of warranty.
Application Area:Cell counting
"It was easy to use except that sometimes when powered off it would freeze starting up and need to be restarted a couple of times. Then we turned it off over Christmas and it wouldn't start back up again at all. We've had it for exactly 13 months, so of course it's no longer covered by warranty. A very expensive piece of equipment to only last 1 year and be completely useless due to what appears to be the result of buggy software. Would not recommend."

Very useful for our sn and scRNAseq applications.
Application Area:Cell or nuclei counting
"Use this product with the EVOS GFP light cube for cell and nuclei staining, works great and is very useful for our needs."

A must for any lab that does considerable cell culture work.
Application Area:Counting cells
"Fantastic, time-saving instrument. Incredibly simple to use. Struggles a little with smaller/primary hematopoietic cells. Fluorescence detection more suited to very highly expressing cells"

Super easy to use, even for a novice
Application Area:Cell counting for single cell library prep
"Getting accurate cell counts for single cell library prep is essential. Having never performed cell counting before, I was worried about variability and accuracy. This little instrument is incredibly easy to use with no prior experience and appears to be very accurate for our purposes."
The Countess 3 FL Automated Cell Counter is a benchtop assay platform equipped with state-of-the-art optics, fully automated focus and lighting capability, and image analysis software driven by a neural network-based machine-learning algorithm, for rapid assessment of primary and immortalized cell lines. The Countess 3 FL counter is capable of brightfield or fluorescence illumination with three-channel flexibility (brightfield and two optional fluorescence channels) enabling researchers to count cells, monitor fluorescent protein expression, gain insights to apoptotic processes, and measure cell viability.
The Countess 3 FL Automated Cell Counter works in two simple steps:
Get accurate cell counts
The Countess 3 FL Automated Cell Counter uses trypan blue staining with brightfield illumination combined with auto-focus and lighting driven by a machine-learning image analysis algorithm to obtain accurate cell and viability counts. The measurement range extends from 1 × 104 to 1 × 107 cells/mL (the optimal range is 1 × 105 to 4 × 106 cells/mL), which is broader than that of a hemocytometer.
Simple operation with fluorescent application versatility
Operated using an intuitive user interface, automated cell counting with the Countess 3 FL counter gives you the data you need to prepare your sample for the next passage or experiment and allows you to multi-plex with a variety of fluorescent dyes and proteins excited via EVOS light cubes. You no longer need complex, expensive instruments to obtain reliable data.
Transfer data and images to your PC or cloud
Using the USB port on the Countess 3 FL Automated Cell Counter and any USB drive, you can save your cell count results and images and transfer them to your PC. Alternatively, use the Wi-Fi dongle and save results to the cloud for remote access and sharing.
