Pros: 1. very compact, easy handling with minimum time consumption. 2. This cell counter can count high concentrated cell suspensions. 2. good for cell passage, cell seeding, and estimating live vs. dead cells. In fluorescence, there are really cool features that can be useful. 3. Very useful for floating cells Cons: 1. Price is very high 2. Again, the cell counter (I think all cell counter instruments) does not solve the cell counting problem in 96- or 48-well plates, etc., for adherent cell lines.

DeNovix CellDrop FLi is a bench top cell counter designed for rapid and accurate cell quantification in research labs. I really loved this small and very user friendly machine. The touch interface is intuitive, and the device supports both bright-field and fluorescence imaging. After using the machine setup took less than 5 minutes, and the cleaning protocol is straightforward. CellDrop is very easy and intuitive to use. I like being able to easily customize and test settings that may differ from cell types. The speed at which it counts (also customizable) is fantastic, and more accurate that other brands. One of the biggest highlights is that it doesn't require any disposable cassettes that other brands use that add to the cost greatly over time. Super easy to clean, calibrate, and export data if needed.

Wir nutzen den CellDrop regelmäßig und sind insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Gerät zählt Zellen schnell und zuverlässig, und bietet viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten für unterschiedliche Anwendungen. Anfangs war etwas Feinjustierung nötig, um das optimale Setup für unsere Zellen zu finden, aber mittlerweile funktioniert die Zählung sehr gut. Einziger Nachteil: Bei sehr hoher Zelldichte kommt es trotz „High Density“-Einstellung gelegentlich zu ungenauen Ergebnissen, und die Software hängt sich manchmal auf. Trotzdem ist der CellDrop für uns die beste Alternative zum manuellen Zählen unter dem Mikroskop – eine enorme Arbeitserleichterung im Laboralltag! / We use the CellDrop regularly and are very satisfied overall. The device counts cells quickly and reliably and offers many setting options for different applications. Initially, some fine-tuning was necessary to find the optimal setup for our cells, but now the counting works very well. The only drawback: At very high cell densities, inaccurate results occasionally occur, even with the "High Density" setting, and the software sometimes crashes. Nevertheless, the CellDrop is the best alternative to manual counting under the microscope for us – a huge relief in our daily lab work!

Good when you need to have multiple reads and have relative counts. Less Good for accuracy and repetitive reads
