Clean Screen® DAU Solid Phase Extraction Columns
Clean Screen® DAU Solid Phase Extraction Column is the flagship product of the forensic solid phase extraction column line. The first product of its kind in the industry, it is a mixed-mode column exhibiting both hydrophobic and cation exchange characteristics. Over 20 years of experience has shown this column to be effective on hundreds of drugs in both the acid-neutral and basic drug categories.
Very good! Can be used for multiple extractions. Hoping to use it on quantitating antidepressants, and other drugs

Cocaine analysis
It works very well to extract cocaine, benzoylecgoine, egonine methyl ester and norcocaine. The extraction results in a strong LC-MS signal for the compounds. Thank you for making an effective product.

We use these for the extraction of a variety of sample matrices for a wide variety of analytes
I like these SPE cartridges for their versatility. Our lab does veterinary toxicology, which means that we may be asked to analyze for anything that could poison an animal in any matrix that could come from an animal (tissue, fluids, etc.) or anything that animal could have been exposed to (feed, water, soil, etc.). We are often in the position of having to rapidly develop a method for a matrix or analyte we haven't worked with and the versatility of the Clean Screen cartridges helps with this. As far as "after sales care" we haven't really received much but I don't feel we need much. The application notes on the website and knowledge of how the cartridges work is enough.

Analysis of xylazine, opioids, and other common adulterants in blood and urine by SPE and LC-MS/MS
In this application note, UCT, Inc. outlines a method for simultaneously analyzing fentanyl, its analogs, xylazine, and other common adulterants using solid-phase extraction (SPE) and LC-MS/MS. Xylazine, a veterinary sedative, is increasingly used as an adulterant, particularly in fentanyl-containing substances. This combination, known as 'Tranq', poses serious risks, including unconsciousness and heightened addiction, potentially leading to fatal overdoses.
Solid phase extraction of novel synthetic 2-benzyl benzimidazole opioid compounds 'nitazenes'
In this application note, UCT, Inc. introduces a method to tackle the emerging threat of 2-benzyl benzimidazole opioids or 'nitazenes'. Originally developed as potential analgesics in the 1950s but never approved for medical use, these highly potent synthetic opioids are now resurfacing, posing a significant risk in the ongoing opioid epidemic. The note outlines a targeted extraction method for the analysis of nine nitazene compounds from urine and blood, utilizing UCT’s Clean Screen® DAU column and new SelectraCore® C18 core-shell column.
Analysis of Amphetamine(s) and Bathsalt Type Drugs in Hair Using SPE and LC-MS/MS
Hair testing can be employed in forensic toxicology laboratories as a basis for documenting chronic or long term exposure to drugs. This poster aims to assist the forensic community by offering analysts in forensic facilities a method that permits small samples of hair to be analyzed for amphetamine and bathsalt (synthetic cathinones) type drugs in a clean format with minimal matrix effects and excellent analytical characteristics in terms of both LC-MS/MS and solid phase extraction.
Determination of Benzodiazepines in Hair Samples Using Solid Phase Extraction and LC-MS/MS
A recent demand for more efficient, robust and clean extraction of drugs from biological matrices has led to the development of several new methodologies. This application note from UCT details the rapid and accurate isolation of commonly prescribed benzodiazepines from hair samples using solid phase extraction.
