Clean Screen® FASt Columns
The Clean Screen® FASt column is a novel approach to improved sample preparation for LC/MS analysis. The column employs a one step process to prepare urine samples for analysis of multiple drugs and metabolites. By quickly and efficiently reducing the amount of unwanted matrix and particulates in the final sample, the analysis can proceed with less chance of matrix suppression and LC column clogging.

A FASTer and Cleaner Alternative to ‘Dilute and Shoot’
The increased volume in recent years of confirmatory tests in urine toxicology by LC/MS/MS has led to alternatives to traditional sample preparation techniques. The usual liquid/liquid or solid phase extraction with concentration has given way to ‘dilute and shoot’ of urine samples. This poster shows how the FASt method addresses shortcomings of this method by applying a lowered urine sample dilution (as low as 1:1) to the specially designed cartridge.
Simultaneous Determination of 2- and 4-Methylimidazoles in Beverages Using a FASt® Filter and Shoot Method
Traditional methods for the extraction and analysis of 2-methylimidazole (2-MeI) and 4-methylimidazole (4-MeI) in caramel colored beverages 2-MeI and 4-MeI follow several pathways. One option involves tedious ion-pairing extraction, and derivatization paired with GC or GC/MS analysis. A second option uses solid phase extraction (SPE) combined with HPLC or LC/MS-MS detection. This application offers a simple, fast, and cost effective method to simultaneously determine 2-MeI and 4-MeI in beverages.
Solid Phase Extraction Method for Analysis of THC, THC-OH, and THC-COOH in Whole Blood
This application note describes a method that is used for the extraction of THC, THC-OH, and THC-COOH in whole blood. LC/MS/MS instrumentation is used for analysis with a linear range of 1 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL with average recoveries of individual cannabinoids found to be greater than 95%.
Solid Phase Extraction Method for Analysis of Psilocin and Psilocybin in Urine
This application note describes a method that can be used for the extraction of Psilocin and Psilocybin in urine. LC/MS/MS instrumentation is used for analysis with a linear range of 10 ng/mL to 1000 ng/mL with average recoveries of individual cannabinoids found to be greater than 85%.
Solid Phase Extraction Method for Analysis of AM2201 and Metabolites in Urine
This application note presents a method for the extraction of AM2201 and metabolites in urine. LC/MS/MS instrumentation is used for analysis with a linear range of 1 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL with average recoveries found to be greater than 90%.
Solid Phase Extraction using UCT Clean Screen FASt
The FASt® column is a novel approach to improved sample preparation for LC/MS analysis. The column employs a one step process to prepare urine samples for analysis of multiple drugs and metabolites. By quickly and efficiently reducing the amount of unwanted matrix (through sorbent adsorption) and particulates (filtering through special frits) in the final sample, the analysis can proceed with less chance of matrix suppression and LC column clogging.
