"We have this unit in our core facility and also in our lab. Bio-Rad items are good and easy to use. Applied Biosystems has better options and ease of use though, especially programs. It would be great if Bio-Rad followed up on their marketed products on a yearly basis. It takes only a few minutes over the phone. "

"The product has been in the lab for many years now and we never experienced failure or any problem from it. The only issue was from the screw that regulates the sealing of the lid which is quite easy to break, and we had to exchange the whole 96 well module for around 2000€!"

"Excellent machine, easy to edit and cheat new program, and monitor the processing. We had a problem during using the machine, one of the module 's lid is out of order, for both directions, the lid knob is making clicking noise, without making the lid tighten or losses. Bio-Rad's tech support on the phone is so patient, guided us to check the machine, and for trouble shooting. Finally, the machine has been fixed under the tech support's guide."

"I love this product. The protocol set up was a bit tedious to begin with. The chamber needs lots of room to move and was a bit hard in our tight spaced lab. We got a computer with it. It was an XP windows Lap top! NOT supported by our IT system. The Real time machine is so up-to-date, I wish the computer was keeping with times too. It is not like we bought this laptop a few years ago. We just bought it! But I still like the thermal cycler itself. You don't really need the laptop for it to function."
