BIOSTAT® CultiBag RM is a single-use bioreactor utilising rocking motion agitation with low shear. The feedback control loops using single use sensors for pH and DO, bring new levels of confidence to process development.
Evaluation of Biostat® RM for Plant Cell Culture
In this application note, Biostat® RM bioreactors were evaluated for the cultivation of plant cells. For this evaluation a suspended cell culture, belonging to the family of the Plantaginaceae was grown in the dark in order to produce cosmetic active ingredients, intended for the Cosmetic industry. We developed a unique range of biochemical actives, with substantiated efficacy for sebum regulation (‘adjusting’ dry or oily skin).
Protocol for Fed Batch, Serum Free Cultivation of CHO XM 111 Suspension Cells in the BIOSTAT CultiBag RM 20
In this application note, Sartorius describe a protocol for the propagation of the model protein secreted alkaline phosphatise expressing CHO XM 111 suspension cells (obtained from Prof. Dr. Martin Fussenegger, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich) in selective, chemically defined, protein and peptide-free ChoMaster media (HP-1 and HP-5) using the disposable bioreactor BIOSTAT CultiBag RM 20 basic.
Comparison of Single Use Bioreactor BIOSTAT® CultiBag RM and Reusable STR for Cultivation of CHO Cells in Serum Free Media
In this application note, Sartorius present a study of the cultivation of suspension adapted CHO-S and CHO-K1 cells in the single use bioreactor BIOSTAT® CultiBag RM compared to the BIOSTAT® B-DCU® with stirred glass vessels. Serum free chemically defined media was used for the propagation of cells. Growth characteristics and basic metabolic profiles were investigated.
Cultivation of PER.C6R Cells in the Single Use Bioreactor BIOSTATR CultiBag RM for the Production of Monoclonal anti-EpCAM Antibodies
In this application note, Sartorius report the successful cultivation of PER.C6R in the single-use bioreactor BIOSTATR CultiBag RM. Chemically defined, serum-free media is used for the purpose of producing a high titer of monoclonal antibody in batch and simple fed-batch regime. The growth of the PER.C6R cells in the CultiBag RM was compared to growth in single use shaker flasks.
