Impurities analysis and pharmaceutical drug development analysis
The ARC HPLC from Waters is intended to bridge the gap between UPLC and routine HPLC. But, buying this instrument to perform UPLC application would be an accident. This instrument performs well as an HPLC and to an extent, helps in applications which need to use columns with particle sizes between 1.9 & 2.5 µm. The system is very sensitive to high buffer concentrates and easily gets choked and cannot be washed with hot water like the routine Alliance HPLC. Care needs to be taken that the system may not be recommended for routine development use, but works well with specific needs of the development lab.
