Application Area:

Bio-printing hydrogels for tissue engineering

I assist with the bio-printing of natural polymeric-based formulation for the manufacturing of constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. I found the printer so easy to use and very versatile for research and teaching purposes. After sales assistance was great from the beginning, and they offered a very convenient price for the printer. Happy and excited to work with this printer in order to try my in-house bio-inks with different cell types!

Excellent bioprinter for its price.

Application Area:

3D printing of hydrogels

We have the Allevi2 in our lab. The two extruders are handy, especially if you are printing using 2 materials. The printer is small and easy to move and use. The price is very reasonable for the high specs and resolution the printer can provide. Excellent after care service through their experienced support team. I only gave it a 4 star rating for ease of use because you have to use more than one piece of software to adjust the printing parameters and operate the machine, however, you get the hang of it quickly after several printing trials.

Application Area:

Bioprinting cell laden scaffolds for tissue regeneration

This bioprinter was very easy to navigate and the user interface was easy to learn for someone with no previous bioprinting experience. The automatic features of calibration/file conversion take the hassle out of the technical details and I can focus on the biomaterials that I am making and on the applications. Transport is very easy which makes it great for sterile tissue culture applications. The support team has also been great in offering feedback on technical issues and in project optimisations.

Awesome and transformative tool.

Application Area:

Tissue engineering

The Allevi 1 is a very versatile, compact, and easy to use 3D bioprinter. We use Allevi 1 to print hydrogels for tissue engineering of articular cartilage applications in our lab. Its size makes it perfect to fit inside a biosafety cabinet for sterile printing of cell laden hydrogels. It has a heated/cooled print head that allows for printing of various ink types from thermoplastics to collagen. The range of pressure is very good and you can go up to 120 psi using the external pump. Finally, the Allevi software's project designer is very neat and allows for quick and efficient optimization of printability (speed, infill, etc).

Versatile, easy-to-use bioprinting platform.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Biology, 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting

This product is very easy to use. We had our printer working on the same day as it arrived! The platform comes with great resources, including online protocols as well as excellent support staff that are ready to answer questions whenever needed. The printer is very versatile and we are able to use it for both research and educational purposes. We have been able to print multiple bioinks and cell types with high viability. Highly suggest using the pre-tested bioink kits, especially for initial testing. These kits are designed to create a seamless experience with the platform and are especially helpful for new users.
