The versatile benchtop UV/Vis spectrophotometer features translucent liquid, solid, and film analysis. Its reliable performance and flexible accessories and software make it the perfect solution for any lab looking to improve efficiency and accuracy. The UV5 can be operated with the LabX UV/VIS PC software or without a PC connection, allowing a minimal footprint on the bench.

Featured Applications:

  • Fixed Wavelength, Scan and Quant
    Measure transmittance or absorbance at a fixed, single, multiple, or entire wavelength range, or use quantification to calculate the concentration of an absorbing sample. The spectrum's peaks and valleys reveal the sample's composition and purity.
  • Color Measurement
    Choose from 15 pre-programmed color numbers and calculations, including CIELAB, Gardner, Hazen, and Yellowness Index. These predefined settings ensure consistent and dependable results for industrial quality control or scientific research.
  • Water Testing
    Using our free downloadable methods, you can quickly measure water samples down to low detection limits. The amount of chemicals in a mixture can be measured photometrically after mixing a sample of analyte in water with specified reagents.
  • Direct Measurement and Methods

Flexible Automation Possibilities:

  • Automatic Sampling and Cleaning
    Peristaltic pumps can boost security and efficiency by automating your spectrophotometric procedure. A flow cell can be safely pumped with samples. An additional advantage: the pump may be also used to retrieve samples and clean the flow cell.
  • Automated Cuvette Changing
    The automatic CuvetteChanger can measure up to eight standard 10 mm glass cuvettes. This enables rapid measurement of whole sample series and completely automated quantification analyses. An external thermostat can be used to heat or cool cuvettes.
  • InMotion Autosampler
    An autosampler improves speed and adds consistency and compliance to your spectroscopic workflow. Easily find the right solution that fits your throughput and sample size needs and combine it either with a flow cell or a fiber probe sample kit.
