Application Area:

For Evaluation of Herbal extracts and dietary ingredients

The instrument is very easy to use. Method development is much easier with dedicated software. Consolidated results including identification and quantification are good depending upon the calibration data generated. One disadvantage is that we have to use pen drive for data transfer between the instrument and computer while creating /updating methods.

Bruker Optics dairy portfolio

Fourier transform near‑infrared (FT‑NIR) technology delivers stable, maintenance‑free performance for liquid dairy analysis, supported by a durable quartz flow cell and flexible, open method design. Its dual‑pump system enables reliable raw‑milk homogenization and efficient handling of a wide range of liquid samples.

Discover how FT‑NIR extends beyond standard milk, whey, and cream to analyze high‑viscosity, stabilized, and particle‑containing products where FT‑IR often falls short.

Application NoteFood and Beverage

FT-NIR spectroscopy of spirits and liqueurs

Spirits and liqueurs vary widely in style and tradition, yet Fourier transform near‑infrared (FT‑NIR) provides a fast, reliable quality‑control method that supports production across this entire category. It delivers rapid, preparation‑free measurements suited to regulated products where tight limits, especially for alcohol content, directly affect cost and efficiency.

Explore how FT‑NIR helps producers maintain consistency by enabling quick alcohol checks and simultaneous analysis of additional components such as sugars or dry matter. The technique replaces slower wet‑chemical workflows with a clean, maintenance‑free setup, and the optional Liquid Sampling Module (LSM II) automates sampling and cleaning to ensure reproducible, high‑quality results throughout production.

Damage and Failure Analysis in Plastics Industries

In this video, the Kunststoff-Institut presents three case studies that illustrate how to conduct damage and failure analysis for materials in plastics industries, through methods such as DSC and FITR. Additionally, the video outlines the IR data base, a joint venture with Bruker Optics.
