MAVEN gives you real-time monitoring and control of glucose and lactate concentrations in cell culture and fermentation processes. Glucose and lactate are critical process parameters that must be monitored to ensure optimal cultivation conditions, improve yield, and maintain the quality, efficacy, and safety of the final product. MAVEN eliminates manual sampling from a bioreactor or fermenter, saving operator time and reducing the risks of human error and process contamination. It utilizes a novel, selective flow diffusion technology to aseptically sample glucose and lactate molecules directly from the bioreactor media without pulling a bulk sample. MAVEN analysis is precise, even at very low concentration levels—down to 0.01 g/L of glucose and 0.05 g/L of lactate—with a very wide dynamic range. The integrated PID and dead band controllers simplify implementation of feeding automation, enabling you to control an external feed pump directly with the device. The reusable and single-use process interfaces make it easy to integrate with most types and sizes of bioreactors and fermenters from benchtop to pilot and production-scale GMP systems.
