Streamlined, reliable, easy to use, easy to maintain incubator.
Cell & Tissue Culture
The Binder CB170 CO2 incubator is a reliable and very well designed piece of equipment. Its streamlined features allows users to make the most of its inner volume while facilitating cleaning and maintenance. In addition, this incubator has a reduced propensity to accumulate condensation on its surfaces, and operates very quietly, with minimal operating noise or vibration. Moreover, its closure mechanism insures that leaving the door open by accident won't be a problem; however, this same mechanism also makes quick access more difficult, which might represent a small inconvenience to users in a hurry. Installation is very simple, and technical support is timely provided by experts.

Six Factors to Consider When Purchasing Your Ideal CO2 Incubator
CO2 incubators should provide the ideal conditions for cell cultures to be examined, and prevent any risk of contamination. To find the ideal CO2 incubator for your cell culture needs, BINDER has provided 6 factors to consider before purchase. Download the article below to find out more.
Skin Transplants Save Lives
This application note highlights the sucess of Binder's CB150 series incubators for human skin cell cultures.
Cell Cultivation without Contamination
This whitepaper compares different contamination control concepts for CO2 incubators from the user’s perspective. The BINDER CO2 incubators offer a conclusive concept for contamination avoidance. It simplifies routine spray/wipe disinfection and it enables automatic auto-sterilization. The plain design results in minimum effort and (almost) no extra cost for each disinfection.
Medical Science of the Future
Stem cell therapy instead of open-heart surgery, regenerative medicine is opening up completely new perspectives in modern medicine. The goal of the Swiss Center for Regenerative Medicine (SCRM) at the University of Zurich is to apply the principles of stem cell therapy to next-generation therapies. In this case study learn how BINDER CO2 incubators are used in the process of stem cell propagation at the SCRM.
Skin Transplants Save Lives — Human Skin Cell Cultures are Incubated at DIZG in BINDER Incubators for Clinical Use
In this case study learn how BINDER’s CB150 incubators create standardized conditions to incubate human skin cell cultures at the DIZG institute. Cell cultures are incubated in cell culture flasks in incubators at 37 °C and a supply of 5% CO2 under high humidity.
Human Skin Cell Cultures Incubated at DIZG in BINDER Incubators for Clinical Use
The first clinical use of cultured autologous skin produced at DIZG was in 1995. The culture made a significant contribution to the life-saving treatment of a severely burned patient. Today, the Biotechnology Division of the institute is still primarily engaged in making cultured autologous skin available to such patients in burn centers quickly and reliably. This case study describes how the institute uses several BINDER incubators of the CB150 series to incubate human skin cell cultures.
A Comparison of Different Decontamination Concepts for CO2-Incubators – from a User Perspective
Microbial contamination, caused by bacteria, bacterial spores, viruses, mycetozoa, yeast or other microorganisms, frequently presents a major risk in cell culture experiments. This white paper discusses methods to eliminate microbial contamination in CO2-incubators.
Incubation Process for Preparing Stem Cell Products
This application note discusses the reliance on BINDER incubators for preparing stem cells from umbilical cord blood (UCB). These incubators are shown to have features ideal for sensitive analyses, including overnight hot-air sterilization at 180 °C, dynamic temperature parameters and condensation-free walls.
A Seamless Anti-Contamination Concept for Safe Cell Culturing
In this video, product manager Dr. Jens Thielmann presents BINDER’s CB 170 CO2 incubator and the anti-contamination features that make it an ideal incubator for cell culturing applications.
BINDER Introduces the New CO2 Incubator
BINDER launches a new CO2 incubator for cell culture. A key feature includes the sterilizable IR-type sensor, which remains in the chamber during the sterilization process, reducing the risk of contamination. The CO2 incubator from BINDER is designed to eliminate bacteria and spores thanks to its automatic sterilization process with air heated to 180°C, making it ideal for cell cultivation or tissue culture storage. Interview filmed by SelectScience at analytica 2014.
