The new BlueVertical™ PRiME™ electrophoresis chamber is a perfect instrument for vertical mini gel electrophoresis of proteins and nucleic acids.
When applied in combination with SERVAGel™ precast gels „Premium Resolution in Minigel Electrophoresis (=PRiME™)“ will be guaranteed. The BlueVertical™ PRiME™ electrophoresis mini tank system has been developed to run precast gels in SDS PAGE, native PAGE, IEF or nucleic acid PAGE applications. A casting stand and accessories for self-casting of gels is also available. The unique innovative clamp system keeps the gel cassettes in their correct position at the inner core running module, leak-free and ready to start within seconds. Built-in convenient operation features result in improved daily work.

Precast Gels for Urinary Protein Diagnostics: Electrophoresis of Urinary Proteins with SDS Urine Gels
Proteinuria, the presence of abnormal amounts of protein in urine, can be an indicator of kidney and kidney-related diseases. Detection of proteins in a urine sample can be performed with electrophoresis, this application note describes a method using SDS electrophoresis with polyacrylamide gel, this provides high resolution images and has greater detection sensitivity than agarose gel electrophoresis.
