Analysis of pesticide residues/enviroment samples
The intuvo GCMSMS is time saving with faster analysis of samples owing to its capabilities of faster cooling and heating rates, the ease of connecting the column with a key for its recognition by the system and yet with no colmn trimming/cut maintains consistency of retention time and saves money to procure new columns. The system has the guard chip that further cleans samples before reaching the column and thus extension of the shelf life of the column, the ion source that is also coupled to low flowing hydrogen that removes solid particles on the ion source. This limits frequent interactions with the ion source, oven and even the inlet. In fact you can spend a whole year without interacting with the interior of the Intuvo system if all is connected well. With the intuvo system, you can easily open the inlet without using screws or spanners to access the liner or the septum thus the system has attributes of time saving, value for money and yet robust.

Greenhouse gases analysis
The Agilent Intuvo 9000 GC is a user friendly 2-in-1 GC system. In our own case, it is a combination of MS and FID. Several features of the GC have been uniquely modified to save time, cost and to enhance its performance; it's very easy to switch column without having to change ferrules and trim column, the aforementioned detectors can be used simultaneously without having to vent the MS, you do not need specialized tools to change parts and lots more. Also, the Mass Hunter software on this instrument is interactive and easy to use just as in other Agilent instruments. However, getting after-sale care for the instrument is not easy, particularly since this model of instrument is new in the market. Therefore, I would advise anyone trying to procure the instrument to already define the intended usage and ask all pertinent questions before purchase and make sure all parts are installed and tested so that you will require less need for after-sale care/inquiries. Obviously, with the possibility of simultaneously using two detectors, I can assure you of the high 'value for money'!

Excellent, small footprint GCFID that gives very reproducible results.
Quantitation of flammables and contamination analysis
The instrument replaced an older GCFID. Its footprint is tiny. The power consumption is much less. The heat produced and released into the lab in each cycle is negligible. The calibration is simple and stable. I have been very impressed so far.

Great instrument, user friendly and easy switching of detectors and column.
Analysis of disinfectant byproducts
This instrument is a 2-in-1 detector GC having both MSD and FID. The mass hunter software is easy to use and a new user can easily be trained on it. Highly effective with very good reproducibility of data. Recently we needed to use the FID for the first time, we contacted the manuals and reached out to Agilent technical support during this process which is still ongoing, while we received tremendous support from Agilent, the user and hardware manuals were very helpful.

Analyze plant metabolites and drugs
This is the best GCMS equipment I have worked with. High sensitivity, stability and reproducibility. It is very easy to use and software is very friendly. It needs very little manteinance due to high robutness. Quality to price ratio is OK. It doesn't need highly experienced technicians to obtain quality experimental results. This is a great machine for GCMS, the best!

Analysis of challenging pesticides regulated in the cannabis and hemp industry with the Agilent Intuvo 9000‑7010 GC/MS/MS system
A brief review of the United States individual state and Health Canada pesticides lists, which are regulated in the cannabis and hemp industries, reveals approximately 100 compounds that require identification and quantification. Of these, at least 29 compounds stand out as challenging to analyze using electrospray LC/MS/MS especially in the myriad of sample types that require analysis, for example, dry flowers, concentrates, oils, gummies, etc. In this application note, Agilent Technologies developed a novel GC/MS/MS method for the analysis of the five pesticides, known as the Fast-5, and demonstrated excellent accuracy, precision, limits of detection (LOD), limits of quantitation (LOQ), range, and linearity.
