ItemTracker Version 3 Released

The team behind ItemTracker, the widely used visual sample tracking and management software solution has announced the release of the next major version. The release (Version 3) is the first major release since Version 2.1 (October 2005) and provides extensive functionality improvements to assist end-users with compliance to regulatory requirements such as the Human Tissue Act and FDA CFR 21 Part 11.

Version 3 enhancements include the ability to set field rules for any property, for instance to allow only values from a range to be entered, the option of setting calculated fields, for example to calculate a balance remaining having entered the amount used, and improved functionality to areas such as import/export and bar-coding functionality.

ItemTracker remains a highly configurable and easy-to-use, off-the-shelf software solution for managing samples and owners in any storage system. It is used today in all life science disciplines across clinical and research establishments from a single laboratory through to multiple sites.
