Deciphering the complexities in the tumour microenvironment, one cell at a time

Dr. Arutha Kulasinghe (University of Queensland, Fraser Institute, Queensland Spatial Biology Centre) presented his lab's latest research focused on spatial biology and immunotherapy at the SelectScience Cancer Research Summit 2025. His team collaborates globally to develop spatially resolved predictive biomarkers for immunotherapy response and resistance across cancers such as lung, head and neck, breast, ovarian, and colorectal. The approach integrates high-throughput multiplexed imaging, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and AI-driven analysis to assess the tumour microenvironment at single-cell resolution.
