Antidoping: Designing Novel Methods

Professor D. W. Armstrong, University of Texas Arlington, describes the antidoping method development process and the types of testing athletes underwent at the FIFA World Cup. Recent advances in methods and increased sensitivity enables the detection of low level metabolites which can detect over a longer time-frame if an athlete has used performance enhancing drugs.
