High throughput silica membrane-based viral RNA extraction using positive pressure

21 Jan 2021

The global COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a rapid increase in demand for the isolation of viral RNA. In this application note, Tecan outlines a semi-automated extraction workflow for spiked viral RNA and DNA samples using the NucleoSpin 96 Virus kit from MACHEREY-NAGEL on a Resolvex A200 positive pressure workstation. Implementation of a Resolvex A200 positive pressure workstation is shown to reduce hands-on time significantly, allowing 96 samples to be processed in approximately 60 minutes.
