Determination of Steviol Glycosides in Sweeteners Using Flexipad Detection
17 Dec 2013Stevia is a plant of the Compositae family, the leaves of which can be used as a sweetener. In order for it to be used in the food sector, the purity of the steviol glycosides contained in the Stevia must be monitored. Utilization of the flexIPAD potential profile yields a greater sensitivity than standard PAD. The separation is accomplished on an RP column. Post-column addition of sodium hydroxide enables amperometric detection.
