Automation of a Multiplexed Cell-based Assay to Simultaneously Measure Induction of Gene Expression and Activity of CYP3A4
16 Mar 2011This application note explores the mechanisms by which a drug can induce CYP3A4 gene expression, and inhibit activity of the same isoform is poorly understood. Activity and induction of gene expression of CYP3A4 were measured using a luminogenic, cell-membrane permeable 3A4-specific substrate and a luciferin based reporter gene assay, respectively.
