A Versatile Method for the Automated Isolation and qPCR Analysis of Mouse Tail Genomic DNA
27 Sept 2016Isolation of genomic DNA from mouse tails with magnetic beads can be automated with the epMotion pipetting system from Eppendorf. This study describes a semi-automated isolation protocol using of the Invitek InviMag® Tissue DNA Kit and the Invitrogen ChargeSwitch® gDNA Micro Kit in combination with the epMotion 5070 with the Eppendorf MixMate. A fully automated method, developed on the epMotion 5075 LH, for the isolation of gDNA for sensitive applications such as qPCR, is also described.
