A simple and rapid method for DNA content measurement

19 Nov 2025

DNA content can be determined using fluorescent DNA-selective strains that exhibit emission signals proportional to DNA mass. Cellular fluorescence is measured by flow, image, or laser scanning cytometry.

In this scientific poster, ChemoMetec presents a simple, rapid and robust method for analyzing and quantifying the DNA content of cells, utilizing the NucleoCounter® NC-3000™ image cytometer.

NucleoCounter® NC-3000™ advanced cell analyzer

ChemoMetec

The NucleoCounter® NC-3000™ is an advanced image cytometer utilizing fluorescence imaging to characterize cell properties. The NC-3000™ can perform high-speed cell count and viability analyses and it includes plug-and-play analytical assays of mammalian, yeast and insect cells. Pre-defined assays include a unique 5-minute cell cycle assay, a selection of apoptosis assays and a GFP transfection efficiency assay.
