RediSep Rf Gold Diol functionalized silica gel is less polar and has a higher retention time than normal phase silica gel.
Diol media offers an alternative to normal phase columns for difficult separations of low to medium polarity samples. This smaller, spherical media outperforms standard Flash-grade Diol media.
RediSep® Rf Gold® Diol Features:
- High flow rates for fast resolution of target compounds.
- Column sizes available for purifying milligrams to several grams.
- RFID technology for automatic set up on compatible instruments.
- Fits all Isco CombiFlash automated organic purification instruments.
- Long shelf life in airtight, resealable packages.
- Luer lock end fittings
Save Time and Money by Purifying Peptides Yourself
This application demonstrates how the CombiFlash® EZ Prep system with PurIon Model L mass spectrometer and RediSep® Prep columns allow research labs to save time and money by purifying crude peptides received from outside synthesis labs themselves. By purifying peptides as needed, a continuous supply of fresh peptide is always available as peptides can degrade over time during storage.
Purification of Delicate Compounds with RediSep Rf Gold® Diol and Cyano Columns
Many compounds are difficult to purify because they decompose on the column. This application note demonstrates the synthesis and purification of an epoxide compound with a RediSep Rf Gold Diol and RediSep Rf Gold Cyano column. The epoxide makes an excellent model for other unstable compounds as epoxides commonly decompose on silica gel. Unstable compounds are often purified using a series of liquid-liquid extractions. Purifying such compounds on a column where the amount of solvent used and evaporation is reduced is desirable.
Rapid Purification of Tocopherols by Flash Chromatography
Tocopherols are fat soluble vitamins with antioxidant activity found in most vegetable oils and in many edible plants. However, analysis and purification of tocopherols presents a challenge due to their relatively low concentration and chromatographic similarity to the oil matrix. This application note describes a single-step method using an automated flash chromatography system to remove the tocopherols from the oil matrix.
Wide Polarity Range Flash Purifications
Natural sources contain a large number of compounds that range from very non-polar materials, such as terpenes, to highly polar compounds such as tannins. Wide Polarity Range Chromatography is a method to resolve complex mixtures into various groups of molecules that are easier to purify in subsequent steps. This poster describes columns suitable for use with Wide Polarity Range Chromatography including the RediSep Gold® C18, diol, and silica and the RediSep® alumina columns.
