Very fast machine!

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Analyze compounds and metabolites in hair

The rapiflex is quite a "simple" instrument to utilize. Any user with the proper instruction can operate it rather easily. A great amount of data is acquired very rapidly, which I believe is the best advantage of this machine.

For me there is no other choice except to use the rapifleX for targeting Aβ

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Genomic, proteomic and metabolomic approaches to understand, diagnose and cure intractable diseases

For the work we do in neurological research, particularly our amyloid-β (Aβ) research, the rapifleX instrument is vital. Without its superior resolution we could not obtain the highly detailed mass spectrometry images necessary for visualizing peptides in the brain.

  • Precision: Label-free mass spectrometry for improved tissue analysis and discovery.
  • Flexibility: Designed for a wide range of tissue typing and analysis applications.
Application NoteLife Sciences

High-Speed MALDI-TOF/TOF Imaging of Mouse Brain Tissue Performed on Intact Proteins and After On-tissue Digestion

In this application note, the capability and flexibility of the MALDI-TOF/TOF system for imaging of intact proteins and tryptic peptides (after tissue digestion) is demonstrated. The on-tissue digestion approach benefits from significantly higher mass resolution and accuracy that can be achieved for tryptic peptides in reflector operation mode, as well as from aditional specificity provided by MS/MS analysis.

Megapixel Tissue Imaging at High-Speed: Evaluation of a MALDI-TOF Prototype

MALDI Imaging (Mass Spectrometry Imaging, MSI) is a spatially resolved, label-free analytical technique for direct analysis of biological samples. Acquisition speed and sample throughput are usually a limiting factor in MSI experiments, in particular in clinical research. This scientific poster, presented at ASMS 2015, presents initial data from a production prototype of a next generation MALDI-TOF instruments, enabling acquisition speeds of up to 50 pixel (spectra) per second at pixel sizes of 10 μm and smaller.
