Successful digestion/ downside time to close and open vessels
Food and water and sediment digestion
We have been using the microwave system for many years and successfully decomposed food, water and sediment samples . However, there is a little downside on the technical part. In routine sample prep it takes some time to close and open digestion vessels.

Excellent option for sample preparation.
Digestion of food and environmental samples
It is a useful equipment, it optimizes time of sample preparation, The fact that it has a tool that let me know when segments are properly closed, give it a plus. In general is an excellent equipment, the only think I suggest to improve is to maintain the power to extend it's useful life.

High efficiency and High throughoutput
Ambiental and Food/Feed Radiochemistry
The microwave oven we use has solved the safety and speed problems in routine analysis. This has also allowed us to considerably reduce the quantities of radioactive acid waste that must be disposed of as highly hazardous waste, going from 150 ml of classical methods to only 9 ml per sample. The final result is always a highly homogeneous and residue-free solution, using a HNO3/H2O2/HF mixture.
