Works fine +no time consuming cleaning -slight batch difference in thickness

"They work perfectly fine and you save time cleaning the reusable ones. Our previous experience with reusable ones is that for reusable slides the cleaning needs to be thorough and careful to not get debris that interferes with our automatic counter. This product have been a good option for those cases. After repeated experiments where we chewed through multiple boxes per day we did however notice that there can be a slight thickness difference between batches/boxes. In our case this manifested as loss of focus mid experiment every time we switched boxes, less fun. There is also a slight propensity for uneven distribution of our cells with slightly more cells being present in the grids close to the sample drop application window."

"In 2 years of use, our lab has never had a problem with manufacturing or otherwise, this product allows for great reproducibility because during staff qualifications for cell counting, we find almost no difference in counting. The only problem that can be encountered is the filling of the overflow gutter during counting if we have not previously filled it. En 2 ans d'utilisation, notre laboratoire a jamais eu de problème de fabrication ou autre, ce produit permet une grande reproductibilité car lors des qualifications du personnel pour le comptage de cellules, nous trouvons presque aucune différence de comptage. "The product is very useful. We use these counting chambers especially when we have a lot of samples to count. To avoid the preparation of counting chambers multiple times we found these disposable counting chambers that do not have to be built up in advance. Therefore we save a lot of time. The price, we have to admit, is quite high for just a few counting chambers. However, regarding reproducibility and easy/fast handling, we recommend these. In regards to the after-sales care: It is an easy-to-use product and we have not required any further assistance up to now. The spreadsheet which comes along with the product contains all the necessary information to work with the counting chambers. Absolutely recommended!!!"

"The cell counter and its slides are very easy to use and allow for rapid cell counts using minimal sample volumes of 10uL. The accuracy of the count, however, seems to be influenced by the way of adding the sample onto the slide as the sample is distributed in the counting chamber by capillary forces. To increase the number of cells counted we image three arrays instead of one as suggested by the manufacturer."

Disappoted. Cells fall into grid, making them hard to count and image.

"I read glowing reviews for this product, and was looking forward to trying a hemocytometer which doesn't need cleaning and doesn't have a tendency to incorporate air bubbles, which our glass hemocytometer has. However, I was severely disappointed to see about half of the cells in my sample lodge themselves into the carved grids in the counting chamber, making it impossible to focus on them and introducing significant counting errors. When cells fall down into the intersection between four grids, it becomes especially hard to see them. I observed higher variability and significantly poorer images using the C-Chip than our old hemocytometer. I can really not recommend this product based on my experience, and I am surprised to see that I am apprantly the first person observing this problem."

The plastic box/case they come in is insanely difficult to open.

"Effective Disposable hemocytometer. Love the ease of use and allows for a no mess workflow in a BSL 2 environment under ISO 5 conditions. The materials seem sturdy and the packaging for the product seems to be great. Very easy to use, with reproducible results. Fast and efficient. More affordable than the 2 chamber hemocytometer in case you count a lot of cells, to avoid wasting so many chambers and running out of the product early on. I’m using a fluorescent dye and this four-chamber hemocytometer for my nuclei counting. The hemocytometer is easily visible under a microscope and easy to count. Previously I used the glass hemocytometer, and it needed to be washed and dried for reusing it. But this hemocytometer saved my time, and also, while loading, the nuclei suspension did not get stuck anywhere in the chamber and could smoothly flow. Now I can count 3-4 replicates from a single chip which gives me accurate counting results. It is easy to use. Reliable cell counting requires a reliable hemocytometer. We used previously non-disposable units, which were a hassle. After using the C-Chip 4ch Disposable Hemocytometer, it allows us to produce reliable, reproducible cell counts for use in our experiments. After using this product for awhile, I can say it totally worth it."

"Easy to use, occasionally surface tension results in the drop not moving across the chamber. A shame the plastic adds to plastic waste - can they be autoclaved and recycled? Quite expensive for us using them as an educational establishment."

"The Neubauer approved C-chips are super easy to use, as the cover slip is already stable attached to the slide. Conventional glass cover slips tend to break easily, shift or create small air inclusion. These ready-to-use counting chamber can be easily filled with up to 10ul cell suspension, has bright lines and also evaporation of the liquid is reduced compared to conventional glass slides. This allows reproducible counting even for unexperienced users. I really like to use the C-chips when I have to count a lot of different samples, as I can prepare many chambers and count them one by one without the risk of dry out. Of course, one should always consider when to use disposable or reusable products."

"This product is so easy to use. You just have to make a cell suspension with the provided blue solution and your cells and in less than 30 seconds you have you cell concentration per mL on the device. This is also divided in ‘live’ and ‘dead’ cells to give an idea about the viability of the cell suspension. To make it even better, every cell slide has 2 sides so you can use it twice!"
