Corning Transport Medium is formulated using the final ingredient concentrations outlined in CDC's SOP#: DSR-052-01 “Preparation of viral transport medium”.

Transport Medium is an isotonic solution at neutral pH containing protective proteins, antibiotic to prevent microbial growth, and anti-mycotic to prevent contamination by yeast and fungi.

Product is for research and further manufacturing use only. Not for direct use in humans or animals.

Formulation

Corning Transport Medium contains Hanks’ Balanced Salt Solution with Ca and Mg and without phenol red, 2% Heat Inactivated Fetal Bovine Serum, 100 ug/mL Gentamicin and 0.5 ug/mL Amphotericin B.
