"The Autolab is easy to use, giving me accurate results in a short amount of time. The built in programs are excellent in guiding the user towards achieving the desired results. With the online support I am able to ask questions and get customized programs for experiments I want to run. The fact that I can troubleshoot and calibrate the equipment on my own significantly improves ease of use and saves a lot of time. Given the exceptional customer service and equipment, we have recently purchased another one for the department. I have peace of mind that the students can operate the equipment with limited supervision."

"Easy to use, friendly software and easy to use the instrument. I find it very useful to use because the analysis and benefit of the data obtained is easy to visualize. In the same way, it has the quality of being able to use different electrochemical methods which makes it very versatile. The results are reproducible and reliable. I have used this instrument for cyclic voltammetry, chronopotentiometry, impedance spectroscopy, etc. "

  • Application Area:Evaluation of the electrocatalytic activity of nanomaterials for alcohols electro-oxidation

"The AutoLab Potentiostat allows me to perform easily several experiments to tests important properties of nanomaterials for electrocatalysis like: a) the EIS program easily allows me to determine the enhancement of the electrical conductivity of the nanomaterials through measurements of resistances to charge transfer (rct). b) Cyclic voltammetry enables to determine the onset potentials and maximum current densities for alcohols oxidation. c) Chronoamperometry allows us to determine the stability of the nanomaterials as electrocatalysts. This potentiostat does not show any current jumps at the begining of the CV experiments as other potentiostats do. In addition, it allows us to obtain many cycles per experiment to obtain stability tests by CV. It is an excellent istrument! It does not require frequent mantenance!"

"Electrochemical analysis is a very sensitive and versatile technique thus, careful planning of the experiment is needed. Experimental set-up is simple and straight-forward. As a user you should have a good understanding on various electrochemical techniques in order to take advantage of the capability and power of this instrument. In terms of ease of use, the software is very user friendly and intuitive. When making experimental methods, it gives you insights on whether parameters you set are appropriate or not. It also gives you error messages before you even start your experiment which saves time and precious samples. Most importantly it gives you very good and reproducible data."

"The product build quality and its capability is very good. The software to operate the equipment is good and the operating procedure can be modified as per requirement for long duration stability studies. But the drawback is that the large data files don't open, compromising the whole experiment. Software is very heavy and requires a well configured computer to operate. There is no option to select background data and substract it from selected data within the software, which is offered by other competitors such as Gamry and CH Instruments. I used Nova 1.11 version software with the equipment."

Essential equipment for corrosion research.

"The equipment is simple to use. It has user-friendly software and programming using block model, which gives users versatility and little complexity. After-sales consulting is efficient and often clarifies doubts objectively and quickly, using email or telephone answering. The equipment itself is maintenance free, the only caution is regarding the reference electrode, whose solution should be changed from time to time to ensure the proper functioning and reproducibility of the tests. Overall, high quality results can be obtained with very little sample preparation."
