Application Area:

In our production laboratory

We use the XRF ZETIUM as a backup to the XRF ZETIUM. We preferred the XRF from the same manufacturer to make training and use easier for the laboratory staff and nice price of service for 2 two XRF.

SuperQ 5 is a great upgrade, especially for modifying Omnian

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Production control in a copper smelter

The Zetium XRF is a stable instrument requiring little maintenance other than scheduled PMs. The instrument is stable and provides quality results daily. Once the analytical programs are created, the instrument can be used by personel with very little training. It's also very pretty!

Review Date: 10 Feb 2023 | Malvern Panalytical

Accurate, reproducible and reliable results.

Great instrument for large labs or high output facilities

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Chemical analysis of coal

The Zetium unit itself is a good unit for high throughput labs and production facility's as its capacity is very large. Service wise is fairly on point but compared to most others brands it is more expensive but offset when you consider how much the unit can do autonomously. From experience not using the unit to its full ability can lead to system faults as the unit is built to run all the time. This however is supported by Panalytical service team and usable work arounds are put in place for the labs that have a varying rate to samples coming into the system to avoid this being an issue. Keeping up preventative maintenance is a must as they are a very high intensity instrument.

Very good instrument for Geological sample.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Analysis of Geological sample

The instrument is easy to operate and produce high quality data. Minimum sample processing required. Low maintenance and low running coast

X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) is capable of elemental analysis of a wide range of materials, including solids, liquids and loose powders. Designed to meet the most demanding process control and R&D applications, the Zetium spectrometer leads the market in high-quality design and innovative features for sub ppm to percentage analysis of Be to Am.

Building on years of experience and success with our extensive analytical X-ray portfolio, Zetium represents a revolutionary step in materials analysis. The platform embodies SumXcore technology – an integration of WDXRF, EDXRF and XRD. This unique combination of possibilities puts Zetium in a class of its own with respect to analytical power, speed and task flexibility in multiple environments.

Features:

  • Power upgrades from 1 to 2.4, 3 or 4 kW for enhanced sensitivity
  • Range of X-ray tube anode materials Rh, Cr, Mo and Au for specific application performance
  • Duplex detector for enhanced sensitivity and wider dynamic range for transition metals analysis
  • HiPer scintillation detector for increased dynamic range for heavy elements (linear up to 3.5 Mcps) ideal for high precision analysis of Nb and Mo in steels
  • Sequential free lime and XRF analysis with the THETA core

The strategic advances of X-Ray fluorescence for pharmaceutical elemental analysis

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy provides many benefits for pharmaceutical applications. Inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometry is also used, however, it requires highly skilled operators as well as hazardous and time-consuming sample preparation. Discover how the XRF instrument is an effective alternative to ICP spectroscopy for elemental analysis for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.

Grating-coupled interferometry – the weak fragment hit biosensor assay

Grating-coupled interferometry (GCI) is ideally suited for fragment-based drug discovery due to inherent sensitivity of the detection principle, and the ability to capture fast transitions. It uses the refractive index changes that occur with protein binding and are measured as time-dependent phase-shift signals. Explore how the Creoptix® WAVEsystem combines GCI with innovative no-clog microfluidics, permitting the study of biomolecular interactions using crude, unpurified samples, or in complex matrices, such as serum, plasma, or cell supernatant. The WAVEsystem uses a robust sensor and microfluidics cartridge, the WAVEchip®, with four parallel flow channels, available in different surface matrix chemistries suitable for diverse applications, such as protein, antibody, VLPs, lipids, and others.
