XN-Series Haematology Analyzers
Hematology Automation Analyzer. Integrated modules - XN analytical, barcode terminal, SP for smear making/staining.
It is effective and efficient in its results. It's simple to use without difficulty.
Haematology analyser
It's efficiency level is enormous eventhough sometimes malfunction due to heat. However in the right condition it functions absolutely normal.

Great intervention for Africa, promote fight towards reducing malaria mortality rates
Malaria diagnosis
Under one minute emergency cases suspected to be due to Malaria infection can be detected to initiate treatment. For research purposes it's informative quering Plasmodium falciparum and our species. It's the best innovation in recent times for malaria endemic countries. Easy to use and great training from company

Excellent system for clinical-based lab
CBC analysis
Reliable, easy-to-use, small footprint system. QC is easy to use and reliable. Technical support is excellent. Results are reliable and repeatable. Reports are easy to understand, and system is easy to troubleshoot if errors do arise (I think I've had problems twice in the three years I worked with this model and required service only once). Limited throughput, but more than enough to meet the needs of a clinical-based lab. (can load a rack of up to 10 while another rack is running and can pause rack-load to have single access for STATs)

Just like adding personnel to your hematology laboratory
Cell counting identification
These analyzers maximize resources by being efficient and accurate. The operators have the ability to set the analyzer appropriately to the patient population to identify abnormal cells and counts. Minimizing the number of slides to be reviewed manually allows results to be reported faster. The multiple channels examine different cell types, so there isn't as much cross over (for example, platelet clumps vs WBC). Really easy to use and replacing reagents takes relatively little time. A real workhorse.

Looking Deeper Into Inflammatory Conditions from a Laboratory and Clinical Perspective
Inflammation and infection are two different things, although they very often occur together. ‘Inflammation’ describes exclusively the body’s immunovascular response, irrespective of the cause. It is our body’s natural defence against damaged cells, physical or chemical agents, allergens or pathogenic organisms and aims to remove these harmful or foreign invaders and recover. Generally there are two different types of inflammation. One is acute inflammation, the other is chronic.
OSNA – Fine-Tune Your Radiation Therapy with More Differentiated Information
The clinical trend is moving towards de-escalation of treatment in suitable patients to increase treatment efficacy and reduce unwanted side-effects. However, uncertainty remains about the appropriate loco-regional treatment for early breast cancer patients with no or low tumour burden in the SLNs.
Immature Platelets in Clinical Use
This application note explores the importance of the immature platelet count for effectively managing immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) treatment, and assessing the risk of bleeding.
Novel Hematological Parameters for Rapidly Monitoring Immune System Responses
Correctly diagnosing suspected inflammations and infections by clinical examination, biochemical markers and microbiological blood cultures is costly and time-consuming. A fast initial indication would be beneficial since this can point out the appropriate diagnostic tests, avoid unnecessary follow-up tests, and help start or modify treatment faster. Haematological inflammation parameters obtained from a routine blood count on Sysmex’s XN-Series analysers can provide quantitative information about the inflammatory reaction of the patient’s immune system.
Detection of Malaria by Scattergram
This application note demonstrates a method for the detection of malaria using Sysmex’s fluorescence-based technology. Malaria is caused by five species of the parasite belonging to the genus Plasmodium. Four of these – P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae and P. ovale – are human malaria species, which are spread from one person to another by female mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles. Two major types of malaria pathogens, P. falciparum and P. vivax, are the most frequently occurring and have very characteristic differences, not only in the course of the disease but also in the blood smear and results of the hematology analyzer.
Laboratory Investigation of Hemolysis
Hemolysis is the premature breakdown of red blood cells (RBC). This can occur either within macrophages of the reticuloendothelial system (RES), or within the blood vessels. This application note provides an overview of the methods of detecting hemolysis, and explains the impact of artefactual hemolysis caused by poor blood collection and sample handling.
