Biomarker Production: Injured kidney cells spread the alarm to nearby cells via TIMP-2 and IGFBP-7.^1,2
High Specificity: TIMP-2 and IGFBP-7 are specific to stage 2 and stage 3 AKI and are not affected by common acute conditions or chronic comorbidities.
Easy-to-read Score: The test result (also known as the AKIRISK™ Score) ranges from 0.04 to 10, and is calculated by dividing (ng/ml)² by 1000.
