mosquito® HV
User-friendly and flexible low volume pipetting that bridges the gap between nanolitres and microlitres
The mosquito HV bridges the gap between nanolitre and microlitre pipetting. It provides accurate liquid handling for low volume serial dilutions and assay plate preparation across the intermediate volume range of 500 nL – 5 µL.
Benefits of mosquito HV include:
- accuracy – outstanding accuracy with < 2% error throughout the volume range
- precision – unrivalled precision with CVs of < 3% throughout the volume range
- speed of set up – quick set-up with no washing
- sample type – precise pipetting across a wide range of liquid viscosities with no format change required
- minimal dead volumes – access all of your sample: mosquito HV leaves dead volumes of under 0.5 µL per well
- serial dilution wizard – simple programming using a serial dilution wizard incorporated into the software
- compatibly – compatible with all SBS-format 96-, 384- and 1536-well plates
- ease-of-use – simple programming, including a serial dilution wizard and walk-up-and-use bench-top instrument
- integration options – can be easily integrated with the mosquito plate processor (MoPP) into a larger screening system
mosquito HV can be used for the following applications:
- serial dilutions for the determination of concentration response curves
- assay ready plates can be stamped directly from compound dilution plates
- acoustic source plate creation
- molecular biology applications including rtPCR/qPCR set-up, RNAi screening and SNP genotyping
- compound and small molecule screening and hit picking
- cell or bead-based assays
- enzyme kinetic assays
- ELISAs
Using TTP Labtech’s mosquito liquid handler with Mosaic sample management software
Mosaic sample management software tracks liquid handling operations performed by instruments or users within a Mosaic workflow. Pipetting operations such as individual well-to-well transfers, plate replication, transfers from microtubes to plates, etc. can be achieved in a variety of ways using Mosaic. This application note gives an overview of how the TTP Labtech mosquito liquid handling platform can be integrated with Titian Software's Mosaic to fulfil your liquid handling needs.
