Guava® easyCyte™
Our microcapillary flow cytometry systems are simpler to operate than traditional sheath-fluid based instruments and are far easier to maintain. They utilize small sample volumes, generate minimal waste, and have lower operating costs. As a result, easyCyte™ Flow Cytometers are uniquely amenable to on-demand use in the laboratory environment and have helped many scientists achieve insightful cellular analysis since 1998.

Small footprint/low cost vs larger flow cytometry systems; highly recommended
Fluorescent marker quantitation
Currently using 4th gen EasyCyte with 3 lasers. Primarily in use for cell cycle, apoptosis, cell surface marker and GFP quantitation. Small footprint (benchtop space is at a premium) and reasonable cost vs larger/more expensive flow cytometry systems makes it ideal for our purposes.

easyCyte Flow Cytometers use novel microcapillary technology that enables a compact user-friendly format, which is powerful enough to run your most complex assays. These simple fluidics enable a self-aligning flow cell that can be removed for cleaning by the user. New, more robust lasers available in virtually any combination mean that you choose the excitation and emission channels that are a match for your lab’s experiments and budget. All of our versatile optical configurations are available with an affordable single-sample loader, or an integrated multiwell sample tray option, for trouble-free walkaway acquisition of up to 96 samples.

Now More Powerful than Ever!
Microcapillary flow cytometry for bacterial enumeration, viability, and gram typing
Bacterial analysis requires the routine and frequent determination of characteristics such as concentration, viability, or gram typing. In this application note from Luminex, explore the application of microcapillary flow cytometry (MFC) on the Guava® easyCyte™ and Guava® Muse® Cell Analyzer platforms for the analysis of bacterial strain concentration, viability, and typing determination.

Merck Millipore Guava easyCyte™ Systems for Compliance with 21 CFR Part 11
This white paper provides a summary of how the easyCyte™ system addresses the regulatory requirements outlined by 21 CFR Part 11. 21 CFR Part 11 is the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) regulation, directing the management of electronic records and electronic signatures in open and closed systems. The regulation became effective in March 1997 and Merck Millipore’s guava® instruments featuring CytoSoft™ and guavaSoft™ software were designed to facilitate user compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
Plate-Based Drug and Toxin Screening Using Multiplexed Flow Cytometry on a Benchtop Platform
This study demonstrates the power of the guava easyCyte™ 12 system and InCyte™ software to provide enriched data during drug screening processes. Using just two main assays, plate-based screening was performed for a number of cytotoxic compounds and key ‘hits’ were identified.
Identification and Functional Characterization of Natural Killer Cells Using Flow Cytometry
Natural killer (NK) cells are a subset of lymphocytes involved in innate immunity. Their mechanisms of action include the direct lysis of non-self target cells through release of perforin and granzymes, as well as the production of cytokines that are supplied to other innate immune cells. This application note describes the use of a novel flow cytometry kit to characterize NK cells in human peripheral blood and the use of flow cytometry to perform a cell cytotoxicity test to detect NK-mediated killing of human K562 myeloma cells.
