I have found that the Fast CDV is very easy to use and works effectively with a wide variety of cell types that we have tested. The dual flow paths make analysis very quick and the images are very clear and with a good amount of resolution. Several of the features such as the re-analyze function make it very easy to adjust the cell inspection type to accurately count different cell types. I also really like that it will perform an in-line dilution so there is no need to dilute samples externally. The volume required is also much lower than other automated cell-counters, which is great for the small scale samples that we run. We had some software issues initially but Nova Bio has been very responsive and helpful in upgrading our system to the newest software. The only downside is that the machine does seem to need a bit more maintenance compared to other cell counters.
