Pipette verification between calibrations

We were not able to achieve accurate results consistently. The deposited volume varied from 100 to 101 ul within 2 hours with the same operator. Make sure that the lab environment is strictly controlled. Also, consumables are expensive and changed often. They actually charged us to activate a calibration kit. It was not a good investment for our laboratory.

Instrument is easy to use, requires little maintenance, and many pipettes can be verified in a short amount of time. Reagents can be stored at room temperature, but can be little pricey depending on how often calibrations are performed.

The amount of downtime due to uncalibrated pipettes and pipettes requiring external calibration has been reduced. Non-conformance due to calibration has been eliminated. The reagents are safe to use and don't need any special storage or handling considerations. The database is easy to use, has a wide range of pipette types, and enables checking, verifying, and storing calibration results in one location. The Artel team are great to deal with, and will quickly respond to any questions you have about your system.

The Artel PCS fullfils our requirements on ISO compliant pipette calibration and testing. Results are reproducible and variance is lower than in manual process. Personnel is easily trained on the device. Process is faster than manual process but reagents are more expensive.
