Product News: Teledyne ISCO release new line of syringe pumps

The new SyriXus line of high-performance syringe pumps is now available for ordering

14 Jan 2022

The SyriXus line updates and supersedes the D-Series pump line where all key features and greater functionality are now packed into a smaller, more streamlined collection. The SyriXus design evolves and expands upon the highly successful series of pumps that began with the Model 314 introduced by Dr. Robert Allington of Instrument Specialties Company (ISCO) in 1970. In the fifty years since, the ISCO line became known for its outstanding durability, reliability, and high precision in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, chemical, and plastics industries.

The SyriXus line released today is the result of consolidating, streamlining, and improving upon the eighteen models of the D-Series by incorporating all pre-existing features, and more, into just eight models of SyriXus. Each model focuses on the set of fluid pressures, viscosity, corrosion resistance, flow rates, and flow accuracy required by the application. The SyriXus line accommodates pressures to 30,000 psi (2068 bar) and flow rates from the sub-microliter range to 400 mL/min. With its highly intuitive and easy to use “one-controller” design, up to four pumps can be operated from one Smart Key device.  All models are available in Nitronic 50 or Hastelloy C276, except the 1000X (Nitronic only). Additional models designed for hazardous locations also remain available.

Teledyne will also be hosting an external webinar on supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC):

Preparative supercritical fluid chromatography made easy

Supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) offers strong advantages over traditional HPLC methods in the right applications, for example, purification of chiral compounds, especially at scale using prep SFC. Instruments for this purpose, however, have not always been accessible to many labs due to process complexities and the level of expertise required to operate SFC systems. Teledyne ISCO has overcome these challenges by applying our long-term experience in preparative scale purification and process automation. Innovative engineering and design of the new ACCQPrep SFC radically expand the accessibility of this technology to any and all labs involved in high purity preparative purifications.

Our featured speakers for this event are Josh Lovell, Applications Specialist, and Todd Anderson, Global Chromatography Specialist, both of whom are responsible for helping Teledyne ISCO customers solve challenging problems in analytical, flash, and preparatory chromatography applications.

Discussion topics

  • Speed, productivity, cost, and environmental impact advantages of Prep SFC
  • Overview of Teledyne ISCO’s new ACCQPrep SFC system and comparison to competitive systems
  • How PeakTrak software makes Prep SFC simpler, easier, and highly accessible
  • Switch between stacked injection and open-bed fraction collection
  • Optional autosampler/fraction collector
  • Compact design with the smallest available footprint reduces SFC lab bench space
  • Unique gas-liquid separator (GLS) technology for maximum sample recovery
  • Ease of installation, operation, and maintenance; shorter, faster learning curve

From this 45-minute presentation plus interactive Q&A session, attendees will become fully oriented to the capabilities and key advantages of the ACCQPrep SFC system and its intended applications. Also, learn how to access Teledyne ISCO’s chromatography support team at any time for assistance with Prep SFC instrument operation and methods.
