Rigaku Corporation is pleased to announce its attendance at CPhI Worldwide taking place 4th-6th October, 2016 at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain.

Rigaku Analytical Devices, Inc. is presenting its handheld and portable Raman analyzer in Stand #2F73. The Rigaku Progeny 1064nm handheld Raman analyzer is designed for rapid and accurate chemical identification, verification and authentication applications. The analyzer enables identification of the largest number of pharmaceutical raw materials and finished goods because of minimized sample-induced fluorescence interference known to plague other handheld Raman systems utilizing 785 nm excitation sources. Using Progeny 1064nm handheld Raman spectrometer, pharmaceutical manufacturers can streamline workflow processes, resulting in time and cost savings benefits, providing a rapid return-on-investment. Progeny’s CompleteID™ software is compliant with 21 CFR Part 11, EP Revised Chapter 2.2.48, USP 37, and UK MHRA GMP Data Integrity guidelines and regulations. Progeny handheld Raman will be demonstrated in Rigaku’s stand.

CPhI is an established pharmaceutical industry event with over 26 years' experience of bringing together niche providers and top buyers with sellers. The CPhI community includes all functions throughout the pharma supply chain.

Products to assist sample preparation include filtration equipment, evaporators, membranes and sieves.Fluorescence SpectroscopyFluorometers and spectrofluorometers (also called fluorescence spectrometers) are used to measure the intensity and wavelength of fluorescent light emitted from a sample after excitation by illumination. Spectrofluorometers utilize monochromators to select the desired wavelengths, whereas filter fluorometers employ a set of filters. Spectrofluorometers for measuring steady-state fluorescence and lifetime fluorescence (or time-resolved fluorescence) are available, as well as fluorescence microscopes and microplate readers. Biopharmaceuticals may be produced from cell lines, plants, or microbial cells. Important considerations of biopharmaceutical use include application, cost, production process and purification.Compound AnalysisCompound analysis is used to discover specific compounds that could be promising candidates for pharmaceutical use. This potential is identified when compounds have the desired effect, such as interaction with a target protein, during high throughput screening.FluorescenceThe emission of fluorescence occurs when a photon of energy is supplied to a fluorescent chemical compound by an external source, causing it to become excited. Fluorescence can be detected and measured for different purposes using microplate readers, fluorescence microscopes, fluorescence scanners, and flow cytometers.Chemical Process AnalysisSpectrometrySpectrometry is a technique used to measure the mass-to-charge ratio of ions. It provides valuable information about the composition, structure, and molecular weight of compounds.
