HORIBA Scientific, global leader in OEM spectroscopy systems, recently launched their new VS-7000-PDA Mini PDA Spectrometer. This new Mini fiber-optic Linear Photo-Diode Array Spectrometer features the most popular UV-VIS ranges in a miniature grating spectrometer, including UV-VIS (200–860 nm), VIS (380–750 nm), or UV-NIR (200–1050 nm). It provides excellent peak symmetry at affordable volume pricing. Order-sorting filters are available and integrated at factory.

HORIBA Scientific addressed the need for improved performance from PDA spectrometers available for OEM. The Miniature VS7000-PDA OEM Spectrometer is compact, featuring a colossal full well from 100 Me– to 1 Ge–, low noise (2.6 counts), high readout speed of 3.5 ms maximum, and highest signal-to-noise ratio of 10,000:1. The VS-7000-PDA is perfect for industrial low-light applications that require the ultimate performance in terms of stray-light rejection, which is achieved thanks to our concave holographic VS70 gratings.

Its sturdy single-optic design with concave grating offers unsurpassed light purity, and with no moving parts or shutter, it is exceedingly reliable for OEM integration. It comes with Windows® acquisition software for initial evaluation, and LabView™ VIs or DLLs are available for OEM integration.

“The VS-7000-PDA covers the most popular UV–VIS range for mini spectrometers,” said Nicolas Vezard, Vice President of Gratings and OEM Spectrometers for HORIBA Scientific. “Its concave grating features the lowest stray light in the UV region, and the high dynamic range of its CMOS PDA detector addresses many OEM applications, such as liquid chromatography.”
