Product news

FieldSpec® 3, the next generation in field spectroradiometers, is now available in the UK through Analytik Ltd.

With all of the power and functionality of FieldSpec® Pro, the benchmark for remote sensing spectroradiometry for many years, the all new FieldSpec® 3 offers significantly expanded functionality, including Ethernet and wireless connectivity for remote data collection at up to 50 metres distance from the computer. The FieldSpec® 3, with its more compact, rugged and lighter weight design, provides improved ease of handling in the field. FieldSpec® 3 also comes standard with several cable management options and increased built-in diagnostics, including the new ASD FiberChecker™ and detector stability indicators.

FieldSpec® 3 is a user friendly, field portable, precision instrument with a full spectral range from 350 to 2,500 nm and rapid data collection (100 milliseconds per complete spectrum). The new LabVIEW® interface expands the power and capabilities of the updated RS3™ software, enabling customisation and automation of data collection and ease of use for a wide variety of applications. The improved instrument design combined with the new wireless connectivity takes portability and flexibility to a higher level, allowing users to perform applications never before possible.

Near Infrared SpectroscopyNear-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy measures the interaction of near-infrared light with a sample, including transmission, reflectance and absorbance, facilitating the identification of analytes. Measurements can be conducted using a Fourier-transform near infrared (FT-NIR) spectrometer, while there are also UV-Vis- NIR spectrophotometers that measure a broader spectrum of wavelengths. The two major instrument classes are single-beam or double-beam spectrophotometers. More specialized equipment includes colorimeters, spectroradiometers and refractometers. Portable and microvolume spectrophotometers are also available. For the modular spectroscopy lab, explore a range of light sources for combination with a spectrograph/spectrometer and optics.
