HORIBA Scientific, global leader in Optical Spectroscopy systems, launched its new Syncerity back-illuminated, deep-cooled CCD cameras with UV-Vis and NIR-enhanced 2048x70 sensors. The Syncerity family is designed for researchers requiring an affordable scientific camera for UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy applications. This new Syncerity camera joins the existing Syncerity with front illuminated 1024 x 256 CCD sensor for UV-VIS-NIR applications.

Its high resolution 14µm pixel size makes it ideal for Raman instrumentation. The Syncerity Back- Illuminated offers ultra-low etaloning and more than 40% Quantum Efficiency at 1000nm for the NIR version while the UV-Vis version exhibits a 60% QE at 250 nm. The Syncerity BI UV-Vis and BI NIR offer a broad spectral response for increased versatility.

Its lifetime vacuum warranty, compact size and sensor format make the Syncerity BI NIR and BI UV-Vis, the ideal candidate for microspectroscopy applications.

The Syncerity is a research-grade spectroscopy camera that combines affordability, performance and versatility for OEM, as well as research applications. Ruggedized connectors ensure overall system integrity in industrial environments, and its all metal sealed technology provides a permanent vacuum which comes with a lifetime maintenance-free warranty.

"The Syncerity BI-NIR and BI-UV-Vis CCD detectors are the perfect choice for Raman and Photoluminescence applications," said Eric Teboul, Director of the Optical Spectroscopy Division at HORIBA Scientific. “The release of these two new sensors complements our other lines of deep cooled, high performing spectroscopic CCD cameras, such as the Synapse and Symphony II cameras. The Syncerity combines price and performance with no compromises.”

The deep cooled Open Electrode 1024 x 256 CCD Camera combines affordability, performance and versatility for both Research and OEM applications. With peak UV QE at 32% and peak VIS-NIR at 58%, SyncerityTM offers a relatively flat response and addresses multiple applications. In the near-NIR, this detector is a lower cost alternative to the deep depletion CCD, with no etaloning. The dynamic range of this SyncerityTM camera is unmatched at 92.5dB (in image mode) and the CCD's tall format is an excellent fit for imaging spectroscopy applications. Its flexible design allows our OEM dedicated team to quickly adapt the camera for industrial requirements, ranging from alternate CCD chips to electronics customizations.
