Product news

Intended for running single and multiple parallel reactions, the DrySyn MULTI range allows various combinations of standard glassware to be utilised – from 10 ml tubes to 500ml flasks.

With companies and universities constantly improving safety standards, the oil bath is an unnecessary hazard in chemical synthesis work. The DrySyn MULTI range of reaction blocks from Asynt provides a safe alternative without compromising either performance or versatility. The anodised aluminium construction ensures efficient and even heating across the block to temperatures in excess of 200°C.

Twelve reactions at a time can be carried out using vials or tubes, all receiving equal stirring and heating. Specially designed clamps can support all three flasks separately to the hotplate, allowing rapid removal of the heat source from the reactions if required. Single reactions can be placed in a central position to maximise this heating and stirring efficiency.

The DrySyn MULTI heating blocks were developed in collaboration with the Dept of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, UK. They have made a significant difference to many research laboratories throughout the World.

The DrySyn MULTI range is easy to adopt - the base units can be fitted to any standard hotplate stirrer. Once in use the reactions are highly visible due to the contrast provided by the silver anodized finish. Another important aspect of DrySyn is its environmental friendliness – there is no silicon oil to dispose of, nor are users exposed to hazardous fumes.

The DrySyn MULTI range extends the already well-received DrySyn single position heating block range which includes the DrySyn CLASSIC for 50 – 1000 ml round bottomed flasks, the DrySyn MAXI, which can be used for 2000/3000 ml and the DrySyn Super Maxi for 5000ml flasks.
