Performance evaluation of Thermo Scientific RapidFinder Multiplex PCR Kits for the detection of Salmonella from primary production samples
19 Aug 2020This study evaluates the performance of the Thermo Scientific™ RapidFinder™ Salmonella Species, Typhimurium and Enteritidis Multiplex PCR Kit and RapidFinder Salmonella Species, Typhimurium and Enteritidis Multiplex PCR Flex Kit in detection of Salmonella, including Salmonella Typhimurium and Salmonella Enteritidis, from PPS. Two methods were evaluated: a one-day method utilizing the Thermo Scientific™ KingFisher Flex™ Purification System (validated according to NF VALIDATION by AFNOR Certification) and a two-day method utilizing a secondary enrichment in MKTTn. Both methods were compared to ISO 6579:2017.
