Liquid handling platforms play a vital role in accelerating proteomics research by enabling efficient, high-throughput, and reproducible sample preparation and analysis. In this video, Dr. Alexander Schmidt, head of the Proteomics Core Facility at Biozentrum, University of Basel, Switzerland, explores how the automation of these platforms can enhance throughput and sensitivity. He offers insights into sample preparation workflows, encompassing solid phase extraction using iST cartridges (PreOmics) and the A200 Resolvex, SP3 sample preparation utilizing the Freedom EVO® 100 liquid handling platform, and tandem mass tag labeling for multiplexed protein quantification.
