Tokyo Campaign Measurement of Greenhouse Gases Bruker Optics EM27

One of the greatest concerns that we face currently is global warming. To better understand the sources and sinks, scientists must investigate global greenhouse gas emissions globally as well as on local scales. The EM27/SUN spectrometer offers a dedicated solution for Passive Remote Sensing of emissions. This video provides insight into the collaborative efforts of a several academic and government institutions in Japan towards the effective measurement of greenhouse gases in Tokyo.

EM 27 Remote Sensing System

Bruker Optics

The EM 27 is a ruggedized remote sensing system providing high performance spectroscopy in the field. The EM 27 can easily be deployed in the field for various air monitoring applications.Emissions from smoke stacks, waste disposal and hazardous emissions from chemical accidents can be observed with an operating range of typically several kilometers. The EM 27 SUN features a solar tracker for measurements of atmospheric gases by solar absorption spectroscopy. The tracker is controlled using an innovative camera-based feedback system (Camtracker). The outstanding tracking accuracy is the basis for highprecision quantification.
