The Future of Electric Cars: Developing Innovative Energy Storage Solutions

In the global bid to reduce diesel and petrol fuelled vehicles, the development of suitable energy storage systems for electric transport is becoming increasingly important. The Energy Innovation Centre at WMG on Warwick University's campus is one of the best equipped sites for battery research and development, with many global automotive partners including supercar, passenger car, and motorsport developers. Mark Amor-Segan, principal research engineer, and Dr. Yue Guo, Deputy Head of the Energy Innovation Centre, explain how the unique facilities enable them to move from experimental chemistries right through to cell manufacture and battery deployment.

Platinous Series Environmental Chambers

UNITEMP

PL-3 - The Platinous series of environmental test chambers offers a variety of sizes, ranges, and options to meet your specific environmental testing requirements. All Espec Platinous series Test Chambers are manufactured to UL, IEC, SAE and EUCAR 1- 6 standards, enabling risk-free testing to investigate safety, performance and reliability of battery cells. The built-in safety features reduce the chance of an explosion and minimise the damaging effects of a spark-induced explosion.
