Recording C. elegans Pharyngeal Pumps
17 May 2017
This video illustrates the basic capabilities of the NemaMetrix ScreenChip System, a worm screening and phenotyping platform utilizing C. elegans as a model organism. It shows synchronized recordings of electrical activities and behavior of the pharynx of a C. elegans adult. This software records the pharyngeal pumps so that frequency, pump duration and wave shape can be quantified for mutants or drug treatments.
