Profiling Oligosaccharide Containing Samples Using HPAE-PAD

Jeffery S Rohrer, PhD, from Thermo Fisher Scientific presents a poster from his lab which describes a study in which synthetic prebiotics such as fructosyloligosaccharide are separated and profiled using a HPAE-PAD (high-performance anion-exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection). The data shows that there was good recovery of the prebiotics, allowing the method to be used to monitor the consumption of a prebiotic by a probiotic.
