The Xytomatic 40 is our new cell counter improved for consistency, precision, and ease of use.

Just take out the carousel, add your tubes with the cell sample, 50 microliters in each tube.

Put in the carousel and press play.

We do this in real time so you can get an impression of the speed of the instrument as well as the function.

The XM 40 is designed to make your workflow faster, simpler, and more consistent.

We achieve consistency by removing complexity.

The XM 40 has no moving optical parts, thereby eliminating the need for recurring calibration and reducing the variability.

With a low NA objective, we image through the entire sample.
No focusing is required, manual or automated.

The carousel holds one to 24 tubes.

You can load the tubes in any position.

The carousel is autoclavable and can also be used as a microtube rack in a sterile environment. First, the XM 40 scans the carousel. It detects loaded samples and begins the analysis.

If you're operating in 21 CFR Part 11 mode, it will wait for sample IDs from the API or from the user input.

Samples go through three stations.

Nothing mixes inside the instrument.

In station one, the sample is stained in the tube with Acridine Orange and DAPI mixed with a gentle vortex and moved to station two for imaging. The autodilution means that the XM 40 can measure cell samples with densities of up to 100 million cells per ML.

After analysis, the sample is removed and the flow cell is cleaned
automatically.

In the software, you can follow the progress of each measurement, and you will get cell counts. You get the live and dead cells, the debris, and even the red blood cells. The XM 40 is ready to run right from the beginning. One protocol handles everything.

CHO cells to iPSCs, from adipocytes to cytogenic cells, powered by a deep learning model trained on a broad range of cell types. Consumables are easy to manage.

On the right-hand side, we have the staining solution, good for 1,200 samples, and the rinse solutions.

On the left-hand side, we have the waste containers.

When the system tells you that the containers are full, just cap the containers and dispose as biohazard waste.

XcytoMatic® 40 High-throughput cell density analyzer

ChemoMetec

The XcytoMatic® 40 (XM40™) is a high-throughput cell density and viability analyzer that can run 24 samples in under 14 minutes. The variation between cell counts for these samples is under 3%. If scale-out and scale-up is a concern, you can trust each XM40™ instrument in your production to deliver the same quality results.

Flow Cytometry / Cell CountingFlow cytometers are used to count, sort and examine multiple characteristics of cells. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays. Spectrofluorometers utilize monochromators to select the desired wavelengths, whereas filter fluorometers employ a set of filters. Spectrofluorometers for measuring steady-state fluorescence and lifetime fluorescence (or time-resolved fluorescence) are available, as well as fluorescence microscopes and microplate readers. Lab equipment for light microscopy includes confocal microscopes, fluorescence microscopes, zoom and stereo microscopes. Microscope slides and imaging reagents are available for visualizing samples, as well as various microscope stages and incubators for large or temperature-sensitive samples.
