Yuri Belov, Senior Scientist at Phenomenex, describes how he is developing new columns for assessing cis and trans fats in foodstuffs using gas chromatography. He presents his poster which shows how his new 30 meter column, the Zebron™ ZB-FAME GC Column, has very good baseline separation of the most challenging standard test mixture, the 37 Food Industry FAME (fatty acid methyl ester).
